નવી દિલ્હીઃ ભારત અને ન્યુ ઝીલેન્ડ વચ્ચેનો મુક્ત વેપાર કરાર (FTA) મંગળવારથી લાગુ થયો છે. આ કરારથી બંને દેશોના વેપારને વેગ મળવાની અપેક્ષા છે. ખાસ કરીને ભારતીય કંપનીઓ અને નિકાસકારો માટે ન્યુ ઝીલેન્ડના બજારમાં પોતાનાં ઉત્પાદનો વેચવાનું પહેલાં કરતાં સરળ બની શકે છે. તેનાથી ભારતીય વેપારીઓને નવા ગ્રાહકો મળી શકે છે અને દેશની વસ્તુઓની અન્ય દેશો સુધી પહોંચ વધારવામાં પણ મદદ મળી શકે છે.
આ કરારથી ભારતના અનેક ઉદ્યોગોને ફાયદો થવાની સંભાવના છે. કપડાં, તૈયાર વસ્ત્રો, ચામડાંની વસ્તુઓ અને જૂતાં-ચંપલ બનાવતી કંપનીઓ માટે ન્યુ ઝીલેન્ડમાં વેપારની નવી તકો ઊભી થઈ શકે છે. આ ઉપરાંત, બંને દેશો વચ્ચે રોકાણ વધારવા અને આર્થિક સંબંધોને વધુ મજબૂત બનાવવા પર પણ ભાર મૂકવામાં આવ્યો છે.
વાણિજ્ય અને ઉદ્યોગ મંત્રાલયના જણાવ્યાનુસાર એન્જિનિયરિંગની વસ્તુઓ, ફાર્માસ્યુટિકલ્સ, મશીનરી, રસાયણો અને કૃષિ ઉત્પાદનો જેવાં અન્ય ક્ષેત્રોને પણ બજારમાં વધુ સારી પહોંચનો લાભ મળવાની સંભાવના છે.
ઉદ્યોગો અને રોજગારીને મળશે પ્રોત્સાહન
કેન્દ્રીય વાણિજ્ય અને ઉદ્યોગ મંત્રી પીયૂષ ગોયલે સોશિયલ મિડિયા પ્લેટફોર્મ X પરની એક પોસ્ટમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે ભારતમાં 20 અબજ અમેરિકી ડોલરનું રોકાણ લાવવાની ન્યુ ઝીલેન્ડની પ્રતિબદ્ધતામાં ઉત્પાદન, માળખાગત સુવિધાઓ, સેવાઓ અને નવીનતાને મજબૂત કરવાની અપાર સંભાવનાઓ છે. તેનાથી ઉદ્યોગો અને રોજગારીને પ્રોત્સાહન મળશે.
70 ટકા ટેરિફ લાઇન્સ માટે બજારમાં પ્રવેશની સુવિધા
મંગળવારથી લાગુ થયેલા ભારત અને ન્યુ ઝીલેન્ડ વચ્ચેના મુક્ત વેપાર કરાર (FTA)માં 70 ટકા ટેરિફ લાઇન્સ એટલે કે ઉત્પાદન શ્રેણીઓ માટે બજારમાં પ્રવેશની સુવિધાનો સમાવેશ થાય છે, જ્યારે ભારતે પોતાની 30 ટકા ટેરિફ લાઇન્સને આ કરારની બહાર રાખી છે. કરાર હેઠળ આવતાં ઉત્પાદનો માટે ન્યુ ઝીલેન્ડ 30 ટકા ટેરિફ લાઇન્સ પર તાત્કાલિક આયાત જકાત નાબૂદ કરશે. બાકીની શ્રેણીઓ માટે આગામી 10 વર્ષ દરમિયાન તબક્કાવાર જકાતમાં ઘટાડો કરવામાં આવશે અથવા જકાતમાં ઘટાડા અને ટેરિફ-રેટ ક્વોટા દ્વારા આ પ્રક્રિયા અમલમાં મૂકવામાં આવશે.

2030 સુધીમાં વેપાર બમણો કરવાનો લક્ષ્યાંક
બંને દેશો વચ્ચે માલસામાન અને સેવાઓનો દ્વિપક્ષી વેપાર હાલમાં 2.4 અબજ અમેરિકી ડોલરનો છે. બંને દેશોએ વર્ષ 2030 સુધીમાં પોતાનો વેપાર બમણો કરીને 7 અબજ ન્યુ ઝીલેન્ડ ડોલર (NZD), એટલે કે આશરે રૂ. 35,000 કરોડ સુધી પહોંચાડવાનો લક્ષ્યાંક રાખ્યો છે.
