A long-delayed report on the Babri Masjid demolition put the issue back in public consciousness with the Liberhan Commission, that was formed 17 years ago, submitting its finding to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday. Justice MS Liberhan, a retired judge of the Supreme Court has claimed that the report got delayed due to the 'uncooperative
attitude of the witnesses'.
The report may give Congress some handy ammunition to target its rival. The demolition of Babri Masjid, was an event for which saffron leaders including L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh and Uma Bharti have been chargesheeted in criminal cases.
